January Reflections

Hi guys, long time no blog eh 😉

Well I thought I would do a little January reflection. I had a few goals going into the new year and the plan is to reflect every month and see what I have been doing well and what I need to work on. 🙂

So a point I made while making my goals for 2016 was making sure they were all S.M.A.R.T. I wanted it to be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound. Well now halfway through February I gotta say I did well when it comes to eating healthy, devotions early in the morning but i definitely did not exercise as much as I wanted to. Uh that always gets me. I have a fabulous sister that helped me but honestly I hate exercising. What do you guys do when you’re feeling unmotivated?

Anyhow going in to the next month (or halfway through it) 😉 I am planning on reading more. I honestly get my inspiration from reading and I have not been doing much of that. Aha also i’m a part of the Kaleidoscope project at my school during spring break and I am super excited!! What is the Kaleidoscope project? Well it’s an inter-religious and intercultural diversity program at my university. So far we have learned about pluralism and cultural appropriation and I am excited to dig in deeper and also for the hands on approach coming up next week!

Do you know one of the biggest things I learned during the month of January is to step outside of my comfort zone. There is a reason I am comfortable and that’s because I am not learning anything new, I am not being brave and trying new things. This month though I participated more in class or in discussions, I was also a part of an Instagram challenge which I learned so much from. So one thing I would definitely like to take into the next month with me is stepping outside of my comfort zone!!

I was so cold during this shoot haha. I love anything remotely preppy and these boots just make all of my outfits classy! I love the top I got it at Express and the jeans are American Eagle. 🙂 🙂
